Why do I need all of these documents?
The three website documents (privacy policy, disclaimer, terms & conditions) go in the footer of your website, and protect your website and data collection policies. The Client Agreement is for your work with 1:1 and small group clients, when you are able to have a client sign an agreement before purchasing a coaching package with you. The Terms of Use is for membership sites and online courses, where the client agrees to the terms by checking a box at checkout, when they are purchasing directly from the website. Lastly, the testimonial release ensures you have the right to use testimonials from your clients!
How do I know if I should get the Bundle for Coaches & Entrepreneurs, Bundle for Health & Wellness Coaches or the Deluxe Bundle?
If you are a licensed professional, you will want the deluxe bundle, as this bundle includes the proper disclaimers that will protect your license, and ensure you are notifying your clients that you are NOT acting as a licensed professional.
If you are not a licensed professional, but you ARE offering services relating to health and wellness, you will want the health and wellness bundle.
If you are NOT a licensed professional and NOT offering health and wellness services/coaching, you want the "standard" bundle for coaches and entrepreneurs!
I live outside of the U.S. Will the templates cover me?
If you live outside the U.S., the bundle is still a great option for you! I would always recommend having local counsel review the documents to ensure compliance with any local regulations or ordinances.
I’m a coach who sells online courses. Which template(s) do I need?
For online courses, you want the document called "Terms of Use" which is included in ALL the bundle options. You may get it as part of the bundle, or on it own, a la carte style!
Should I get the Website Coverage Bundle or each template separately?
Either way but purchasing the Coverage Bundle is the most cost-effective option for you.
Which bundle is right for me??
If you are a coach or therapist, you likely have questions about which bundle is right for you! We get these questions ALL the time, which is why there is a short video on the main page for each bundle, walking you through WHAT is in each bundle, and WHO it’s meant for! Can I share these templates with my clients??
We ask that you do NOT share these templates with anyone outside your company, because (a) your client or whomever you are sharing them with has not purchased the rights to the documents, and (b) we cannot be sure the templates are right for that client or person - they may be right for YOUR business, but each person needs to ensure they are doing what’s right fo their business, and purchasing their own documents accordingly. How do I know if I have filled the templates out correctly?
Email them to us for confirmation! With the purchase of each bundle comes access to Christy Westerfeld for 30 days, to ask questions, show the documents, and get additional customization. Don’t sleep on that!
Why can’t I just draft these myself?
Legal documents in an online business (and any service-based business) are CRUCIAL to the success of your business. You MUST legally protect your website, yourself, and your email list with things like privacy policies, client agreements, and terms of use for online courses. The language in these documents is VERY intentional, and has been drafted very carefully and specifically for online business – this isn’t something you can just google and copy/paste for the same effect! Don’t cut this corner in your business. customization. Don’t sleep on that!
